Yesterday, New York Knicks forward and PUMA Basketball ambassador Kevin Knox visited Foot Locker – Marble Arch in London, U.K. to debut PUMA’s new Clyde Court London sneaker ahead of the NBA London Games that will take place at the O2 Arena on Thursday, January 17th.
Knox will wear the London-inspired shoe during the game on Thursday which will feature the Washington Wizards taking on the New York Knicks, marking the ninth regular-season NBA game to be played in London.
The shoe is a nod to London’s history, featuring a red background underneath a black lion design. The English Lion is synonymous with British culture, a national symbol of strength. With Knox bringing PUMAHOOPS to Europe for the first time, PUMA invites another member of the Big Cat family to the NBA London games – the Lion. Signs and hints of the Lion will be found on the footwear, apparel, accessories and in the brand’s creative marketing to show that the Lion is introducing (the) PUMA to this new domain/territory.
This is PUMA’s sixth version of the colorway since dropping the Clyde Court Disrupt in October 2018, the brands first basketball shoe in 20 years.
