On July 13th, New Balance will introduce new styles of the 997S – inspired by the classic 997, but streamlined for a contemporary modernized look.
Released in 1991, the classic 997 boasted new technology and a new aesthetic for the 99x range. The silhouette fused C-Cap within the ENCAP sole unit, marking a visual progression from previous styles.
The new 997 Sport silhouette offers a sole unit that remains substantial with a new layered suspension system, utilizing New Balance’s new and heritage technologies. The silhouette leverages Encap Reveal technology combined with Abzorb to create an incredibly stable, yet cushioned underfoot.
The upper pays homage to the original 997, but with refined details and modernized executions to create a more form fitting and streamlined silhouette for the contemporary consumer. The style offers a booty construction and premium materials providing the ultimate comfort and style.
The 997S launches on July 13th alongside a global campaign and will retail for $119.99 on NewBalance.com.
