This Artist Turns Vintage Sneakers Into Plants

Here is another reason why you should never throw away your old sneakers. Japanese artist Kosuke Sugimoto (@shoetree_2016) has found a way to turn unwearable shoes into living works of art. After he finds vintage kicks that have been worn down, he applies dry moss to the parts that have suffered the most damage, protecting the shoe from further destruction in the process. He then sticks a potted plant in the shoe, making it look like the plant is growing out of the sneaker itself.
