Hundreds of thousands of crabs aggregating near Australia is incredibly creepy

Every year in Port Phillip Bay, Australia, hundreds of thousands of giant spider crabs aggregate and it is quite a scene.  The pile can go as high as ten crabs and it stretches on for miles.

The crabs do this simply for safety in numbers.  Every year, they need to shed their old shell and grow a bigger new one.  Amazing.
