Thanks to Dazed, we now have a preview of the entire Nike X Pigalle capsule collection which comes right on the heels of Nike’s collaboration with Ricardo Tisci. The collection includes two matching jersey and shorts sets, two pairs of Air Force 1s, T-shirts, basketballs, and accessories. As you can see, the AF1′s have an aged look which was achieved by adding paint and rubbing it off, according to Pigalle’s designer Stephane Ashpool. This release was a huge shock to me. I knew people were really hyped about it, but I did not expect one in-store release to be completely cancelled & another one as busy as this. The Supreme store in NYC was not able to do an in-store release because the streets were so flooded with people, so many people that the “riot control” team was brought in. The LA store on the other hand was still able to do their in-store, here’s a look at what it was like.
One of the most popular Nikes of all-time is the Nike SB Dunk Lo “What the Dunk.” Now, Nike Basketball is using the popular theme for the LeBron XI and the KD VI. Both shoes use bits & pieces from some of the most popular colorways in each model. The LeBrons should release on May 31st, and the KDs drop on June 7th.
