With the 4th Annual OVO Fest just around the corner, Drake released info regarding a collaboration for that event. With Toronto being his hometown, he partnered up with the Blue Jays and New Era for these limited edition hats.
Jeremy Scott and New Era have collaborated on another headwear collection. The Spring 2013 Collection consists of several snapbacks all featuring out-of-the ordinary designs which Scott has become known for. Although I don’t really think I could pull any of these off I really want the Black Gator and Brown Ostrich hats. These are set to release May 20th, 2013.
We’ve seen a lot of cool prints and textures used on hats lately, but this is one of the craziest. There is only going to be 6 available, so they’ll be pretty hard to get a hold of. They were made to commemorate the International Series Game that was played at Wembley Stadium yesterday between the New England Patriots, and the St. Louis Rams.
I don’t think I would ever wear any of these, but it’s cool to see some styles that you wouldn’t normally see. The one with the hula skirt hanging down is a little bit ridiculous.
Black Scale originally dropped this VSVP New Era strapback as part of their capsule collection they did with A$AP Rocky. But due to popular demand, Black Scale is going to re-release this hat some time in the coming weeks in very limited quantities. The New Era strapback will only be available in-store. Head over to Black Scale for the official release date and location.
It’s about time New Era came out with a customization program. People would have gone crazy for this 2 or 3 years ago. The New Era by You program allows you to customize almost ever aspect of New Eras signature 59FIFTY hat for only $60.00. Head on over to NewEraByYou.com to start making your own custom hat.
I don’t know that this was the best decision by New Era, I can see PETA going crazy over this. I like the idea though, it’s nice to see some materials other than the traditional ones. The collection includes hats made from textured wool, tri-suede, suede elephant, fur, faux snakeskin, and canvas cord.
Supreme is known for their collaborations. This fall season they have hooked up with Vans to create a new capsule collection made up of the Sk8-Hi and Era in three colorways. Each shoe is built with a canvas/suede upper, a leather insole and vulcanized outsole. The canvas portion of each shoe features an all-over print fly graphic. The heals of each shoe are also stamped with Supreme’s logo. All six styles will be released at Supreme New York, L.A., London as well as online September 29th, and on October 1st in Japan.
