If your a Weezy fan you might like this, you might not, so listen to it with an open mind. It’s sorta techno but has a dope beat and Waynes synth voice is crazy. Here is a better description of Young Eletrik below. Click here to download. Young Electrik are truly on the verge of becoming a name that everyone checks for, because only after a couple of weeks of their release of their Bad News Remix, they have now have now supplied us with their complete re-invention of Lil’ Wayne’s Prom Queen. Young Electrik stepped in and brought out some of the emotion behind Wayne’s song with their synth melodies , and a bass line to die for. This track is a must have for any fan of Wayne’s music, enjoy. [hypetrak]
HIP HOP NEWS @ DEFSOUNDS.COM Another new track from Weezy. Him and Drake have been comin’ out with quite a bit of material lately. Most of it is pretty sick. I’m waiting to get a glimpse of when Drake’s solo album might be coming out. Let me know what ya’ll think of this one.
HIP HOP NEWS @ DEFSOUNDS.COM Mr. “I Am Music” hops on yet again another remix. Material after material, and his skills never seem to falter in my opinion. Yeah, yeah… his rock stuff is wack, his vocoder stuff is wack, his newer material is wack. You can say whatever you want, but what you really need to do is open your mindssss. Anyways, Enjoy! let me know what you think.
As i said i would get you the info on the sunglasses seen in the Weezy vid. There called Madness, made by Sabre. Super, super sick. They have a lot of other crazy choices, these ones are fresh to death though. They have interchangeable sides, one colored white/black, the other red/black. You can pick these up here for $120.
I’m guessing a lot of you have been waiting on this for awhile, a couple websites dropped a teaser of it awhile back, but i wanted to wait till i could get you guys the real thing. So enjoy! Also peep the Sabre sunglasses with the zebra stripe on the sides. I’ll get you some info on those after this commercial break.
HIP HOP NEWS @ DEFSOUNDS.COM Here is a new song out by Drake called successful featuring Trey Songz and Lil Weezie. It’s a pretty layed back beat, Trey kills the chorus and Wayne rips his verse, Drake verses are pretty dope too but the song runs about 6 minutes long. Check it out.

It’s definately out of the ordinary, but i’m kind of feelin’ it. Let’s hear what ya’ll think. HIP HOP NEWS @ DEFSOUNDS.COM
I gave you guys a little info earlier on what Wayne’s new album was supposed to be. Well in some brand new info, his new album is going to be simply titled Rebirth, having no affliation with any other cd’s in Wayne’s discography. The album has been given a release date, that being April 7th, 2009. First single is to be titled “Prom Queen”, with it being released on Jan. 27th, on his MySpace page.
GQ recently caught up with Lil Wayne for a pretty interesting interview. He talks on everything from his being a “Martian”, his favortie scary Movie, and Even LeBron and Kobe. Whether you love Weezy or you hate him you have to admit that you still wanna hear what he has to say. Check out the whole interview here it is worth it. The Photography, which was done by Terry Richardson, is also pretty cool, Check out more pictures after the jump. [Hypebeast]
HIP HOP NEWS @ DEFSOUNDS.COM HIP HOP NEWS @ DEFSOUNDS.COM Here’s a couple recent tracks from ya boy, Weezy F. Baby. I think both these tracks could possibly show up on The Rebirth of The Carter 3. Yes features Pharrell, it’s pretty different sounding, i can vibe with it though. You can say what you will about Wayne, but the man is always on his grind. What do ya’ll think of these tracks?
