Bran Ferren is the brains behind this project, and 4 years were put into making this incredibly bad ass recreational station of a vehicle. The main thing in mind when it came to this exploration vehicle: his 4-year-old daughter. They are planning to taking this on some excursions together in California, the Mojave Desert, and possibly Canada & Europe. He has invested millions into this thing, and when it’s put to use later this year, he thinks it will be the elaborate all-terrain vehicle ever built. Check out the full article over on Wired.
Even though I’ve wanted to buy a Smart Car for months now, this is hilarious to me. Apparently, a group of people who either love vandalism or just hate Smart Cars went on a tipping spree yesterday morning. Four different cars were tipped over in a span of two different neighborhoods. Think twice before buying a Smart Car.
There’s plenty of cars out there to make you feel like James Bond, but I don’t think any of them can imitate that feeling more than a Aston Martin. I don’t know that the green on this 2014 Vanquish Volante is very James Bond-ish, but the car itself is a beast. Alright, I gotta have one. This is the Hennessey Venom GT, and it is now officially the world’s fastest car. It was recently taken out to Kennedy Space Center where they let the beast of an automobile loose as it topped out at 270.49mph. And I used to think 100mph was fast. Unreal.
This concept is the Rinspeed XchangE Driverless Tesla Model S, and it gives us a nice guess as to what the future might hold for modes of transportation. If this ever becomes a real thing, driving will be my favorite thing in the world. Check out more on Rinspeed’s website.
After 2 years of planning and development, the first Lotus-branded motorcycle is ready to hit the road. The bike features a 2-cylinder 4-stroke engine that pumps out 200hp. There will be an extremely limited production run of 100 units, so they’ll be pretty hard to get a hold of. Read the full press release here.
