Your Daily Dose of Dopeness
Alright I know Sneakhype has done quite a few posts on the Air Yeezy’s lately but we know you guys love seeing them, especially in a colorway that many of you have probably never seen before. No these are not fakes. These Air Yeezy’s are the concert editions which Mr.West often wore during his shows. They come in a predominantly Black colorway and they feature some grey suede on the toe and around the laces. The strap is made from patent leather and what really sets these apart is the red sole. No word if these will ever be release to the public, as of right now they are just on display at Nikes new TPE 6453 Boutique and Gallery. Check out more pictures after the jump.
Air Force 1′s have been my shoe of choice for many years but lately i have been dabbling with other shoes such as Air Max’s and Jordans but it feels good to back to my roots. This pair of uniquely designed Air Force Ones are bound to turn heads. They feature a black upper constructed from premium leather and ballistic mesh, while the swoosh features black patent leather. Red accents can be seen on the shoe laces and inner lining. The classic white sole sets the shoes apart, it will be hard to keep clean but it definitely completes the shoe. Since 21 Mercer Street opened, it has kept fanatics interested in Nikes with all of their designs and ideas. Their latest and greatest idea is allowing such fanatics to design their own version of the classic Nike Air Stabs. There are plenty of design options available which include denim, mesh, distressed leather, patent leather, and lace. You can also choose from a wide variety of colors, patterns, materials and graphics. Remember though, you have to make an appointment to create your own pair. Call 212-226-5433 for more information. Incase has come up with an eco-friendly way to protect your 3G iPhone. They have created a case that is constructed from reclaimed bamboo and plastic. 40 Percent of the Bamboo Slider is made from pulp created from reclaimed bamboo shards of materials such as construction scaffolding and chopsticks, giving the case its unique look and feel. The case still provides the protection Incase is known for but does so using less plastic. This case is available now at the Incase onlince store for $35. Via CtotheJL.
They come in a pack of 6 pairs. The box advertises a half dozen earrings… but there are a half dozen pairs of earrings. So there’s actually a full dozen earrings in the box. I just wanted to toot my own horn for a second and let everyone know that I know how many are in a dozen. On a relevant note, these aren’t for sale yet, but should be soon. Sorry to blue ball ya, ladies. But just bookmark the Johnny Cupcakes online store, and check it every so often. After the link, you’ll see the full box set, and a list of all the locations that will carry these.
Our boy Benny Gold has been hard at work getting his Summer of ’09 Line in order. The new stuff looks good as usual; he stuck with the label driven T-shirts and the Logo Stripes New Era’s. The line also includes the first collaboration shirts (seen above) from Benny Gold and San Francisco fixed gear brand Mash. Now Benny Gold created Mash’s logo and has helped them since they were founded but the “Gold Sprints” collaboration is the first official collab. The new line should be available at select Benny Gold retailers soon, we will keep you posted. Check out the rest of the collection after the jump.
Now, you’re going to find this post on several online mags/blogs/whatever… but I want to use this post to illustrate that Sneakhype owns art hype. The other sites are going to give you the pics and the info, yeah yeah… but you’re not going to see them calling out that this lead image features Gucci imagery layered over the Neoclassicist icon Ingres’ Grande Odalisque. Why won’t you see that from others? Because they ain’t edyeekated like we is edyeekated — they ain’t know. It’s just that simple. We know. Oh, we know. After the jump, you’ll see a variety of images… including a classic early Renaissance piece (check out this knowledge) Piero della Francesca’s Battista Sforza and Federico da Montefeltro (yes, I actually knew that — art history, bitch) and layered over such is lil Dior and Yves saint Laurent. And another of my personal faves from the Realism era — Manet’s Le Dejeuner sur I’herbe covered in Louis Vuitton. S N E A K H Y P E r u n t h i s s h i t. Byeatch.
To be honest your Spring collection is just not cutting it if it doesn’t include a tight @ss incense holder like the one seen above. The incense holder is part of Supreme’s Spring ’09 collection. You can view all kinds of other pieces after the jump.
Our boys over at The Airtime Collection are getting ready to drop a snap back hat for all you players out there. Crazy dope & classic style, i’ll for be picking one up. We’ll let you know when we get some info on release date & price. More pictures after the jump.
