Elon Musk, the CEO of Boring Company, made a promise last year that if his company was able to sell 50,000 Boring hats they would release a real life flamethrower.
Well, the Boring Company ended up selling those 50k hats and Musk kept his word. A few people on Reddit noticed that Boring Company website now had a “boringcompany.com/flamethrower” URL that was password protected. A few people were able to figure out the password and were redirected to a a shop page.
The listing shows a photo of a flamethrower prototype that was priced at $600. The disclaimer says that the actual flamethrower that will be released will be much better.
Before anyone gets too excited, it’s worth noting that this might be an April Fools joke as the Boring Company flamethrower is scheduled to ship in April.
