At one point in time, Elvis Presley owned a 1962 private Lockheed Jetstar Jet. Somewhere a long the line, probably after a bender, Presley’s jet was left at the Roswell airport and it was sat there for the last 30 years. Now it’s up for auction.
The exterior of the jet is in terrible shape, as is the cockpit. But the rest of the jet is supposed just the way the Elvis left it. The cabin area of the plane features gold-tone hardware, custom woodwork, red velvet seats and red carpet. The toilet seat is even velvet.
If you’re interested in purchasing the jet, it will be going up for auction on May 27. It’s expected to go for anywhere from $2,000,000 to $3,500,000.
